Innovative home owner creates indoor décor wonder in Bangalore with wall decals

Many of us have ideas. Many of us have beautiful, innovative, new ideas. Ideas that we believe would be game-changers. Ideas that we believe are different than the norm. Ideas that we believe would be amazing if implemented.

Wall decals is all about ideas! It is the identity you want to give to your home with our beautiful design. We offer thousands of designs from trees, natures, birds to intricate ethnic Indian Art. What suits your home best is a decision between you and your home.

Many home owners approach us with a lot of ideas. Wall decals look stunning and beautiful on the internet and on our website, this attracts a lot of home owners. But their zeal and enthusiasm subsides after sometime or they choose for some other mode of wall décor.

Believe us, if you have the patience and imagination to select the right design for your house, a wall decal would enhance the beauty of your wall and thereby of your home a thousand times more than you see in the picture.

Ravi, a head of a MNC in Bangalore, has been working with us for 3-4 months now for the different compositions he has in his mind for his home in Bangalore. We will describe the astounding Panchamahabhoota composition which he conceptualised, in another article.

This article is about the Mysore palace procession which he was looking to place over the curtain and the vacant space at the entrance of the home. Ravi wanted a wall decal depicting a Mysore palace procession and with his firm commitment to what he wanted and our creative abilities, we created a tailor-made decal exactly as he wanted.

Space above the curtain for which wall decal was needed

This was the space above the curtain where Ravi wanted to place a Mysore palace wall decal:

Brief: “This is for another decal. Really liked this. I wanted a Mysore procession similar to this... will share the pictures now from my older furniture to give context”.

Ravi showed us below pictures from his old furniture to give us an idea of the style he was looking for.

Brief: “So this palace silhouette would be in the center at a bigger size and then there would be a procession on the left and a procession on the right being mirror images of each other. The total length would be 8ft with proportional height but not more than 1ft”

We started making the design as per Ravi’s requirements, some more of his instructions followed and we customized the designs accordingly.

- Would need the palace to be a little wider but could be a little less details also in case it is too fine.

- Need height of the elephant to be slightly higher (as high as camel).

-Is this already in scale for 9ft. Otherwise, there is one horse chariot which is a characteristic one of the Mysore procession. That would be good.

- If you can add a little bit of space between the palace and the camels, then it will standout better

- Will send a couple of pictures of the royal emblem of the Mysore Kings. On the camel, elephant and Horse where you have the flower design, that will look better and also make it uniquely tied to the royal family.

All these discussions happened on watsapp as this was convenient for Ravi as well as our creative team so that both could work at each other’s convenience.

Client: You are all super responsive on whatsapp. That makes a lot of difference for me. Ok...and you r all innovative and creative.

Finally, we and Ravi finalised this Mysore palace procession design for the area above the curtain. These were the final 2 options of the design, Ravi chose the second one.

Wall Mural installation: Making a Dream Nursery Come to Life with Adorable Wall Decal Design

Home coming of a new born is a celebration! Every parent enthusiastically looks forward to welcome their new member home. For that they do not mind going out of their way to dress up the little one’s room with something appropriate. Cribs and baby beds, matching wall paper, hanging rattles are some of the most common way to deck up a nursery but aren’t you missing something here? Yes, there is an excellent option to get a customized décor for your kid’s room using wall decals.

Nisha, a resident of Malabar Hill, Mumbai who was expecting her baby soon, thought of this alternative because she wanted to do something different for her baby’s room. She had already ordered for a baby crib and had chalked out where to place it in the room. Her thoughts were well oriented and she knew exactly how she wanted the nursery to appear.  She came up with the exact design she had in mind after a little research on the internet and was now looking for a company that would cater to her individual décor requirement. The design that she selected was a tree in full bloom with pink and white flowers and black branches. A few butterflies and birds were added here and there. Cute pandas and owls made the backdrop simply adorable.

Next task was to search for someone who could create something closest to what she visualized. While hunting for wall decal manufacturers in India she found the contact details of KC Wall Decal. This is a story how Nisha in coordination with the team of KC Wall Decal turned her dream nursery into reality!

It was a chain of e-mails that Nisha exchanged with Rakesh, one of the coordinators for KC Wall Decal. Nisha sent across photographs of the design she had in mind and photographs of the room, stating where she wished to place the baby’s crib. But that was not sufficient to understand her requirements fully, as dimensions were missing. On the following e-mails that were exchanged Nisha and Rakesh swapped information about the dimensions of the wall, height of the crib and how she wanted her wall mural to look. Once things were clearer, the KC Wall Decal designers got down to work.

They produced two plans according to Nisha’s requirements and she made alterations, finally there was a design which exactly matched Nisha’s thoughts.  The tree with spread out branches and abundance of flowers made a great impression!

Now was the time to give the design its final touch. Nisha wanted the tree to give an illusion of coming out from behind the crib with low branches covering the wall, touching the crib. She wanted flowers mainly over the crib and not to spread out the other side of the door. Nisha also had specifications about the flowers she wanted; without a hollow center and fuller in look, to give a feeling of abundance. All heeded, designers of KC Wall Decal produced something which perfectly coincided with their customer’s thoughts and she gave them a green signal to go ahead with the production. Money matters and budget was discussed separately and charges were not bank breaking!

The branches, flowers, birds, butterflies, pandas and owls; everything came in separate pieces giving plenty of option to put them up as Nisha wanted. The final installation was a cake walk with the company’s help and the end result….you got to judge for yourself!!

Thank you so much for the quick response.

Right now I'm in Abu Dhabi and will be in India by the 3rd week of December. So right now we need to correspond only through the mail.

I'm more interested in black and white prints and looking for a size of about 4 x 5 ft I.e 20 sq.ft pictures printed. Since I haven't seen the photo decals please clarify some doubts.

Will the picture look separate from the wall? What is the thickness of the print? Will it be removable? Does it leave any adhesive stains on the walls?

And I need the pictures cut to their shape and not in rectangular shape. This can be done, right?

You will sending the demo pictures before final print, right?

How long will it take for printing and delivery after finalizing?

And we replied:

Please find response below:

Will the picture looks separate from the wall?

There are 2 different things we make:

Wall Mural: Please check attached Peacock wall mural images. This is essentially the design printed with high quality digital ink on a matte material, and has lamination.

Wall decal: This is made in single color, please check attached image of Mr. and Mrs. Navin's portrait.

What is the thickness of the print ?

Wall decals have very less thickness and thickness cannot be noticed from a distance.Wall murals have a little thickness, but they also merge into the wall almost seamlessly.

Will it be removable ?

Wall decals are removable, they do not remove the paint of your wall. Wall murals have a little high amount of glue and may damage the paint of your wall.

Does it leave any adhesive stains on the walls ?

Kakshyaachitra wall decals are made from best quality indoor decor material, it will not leave stain on the wall.
Wall murals have a little high glue, they are for permanent/long-time application, may damage the wall while removing.

And I need the pictures cut to their shape and not in rectangular shape. This can be done , right ?

You can see that the outline of wall decals will be machine cut and it will be very fine cutting. Wall decals can be made in only 1 color though, like the attached wall decal of Mr. and Mrs. Navin's portrait is in black color and the background wall color is blue.

If we decide to make a wall mural, then it will be cut only along outline, like the peacock wall decal. It will be a simple outline curve.

You will sending the demo pictures before final print , right ?

Yes, we will confirm the images with you before print. You can also add any messages/quotes with the design if you want.

How long will it take for printing and delivery after finalizing ?

Please let us know where do you want the delivery. Design work for 3-4 images and confirmation should be done in 4-5 days and making the decal-mural will take about 3-4 days, so let us assume a total of 2 weeks after design finalization on a higher side.

Thank you so much.

I’m interested in wall decal in single color...

Confused about this statement...

"Wall decals can be made in only 1 color though, like the attached wall decal of Mr. and Mrs. Navin's portrait is in black color and the background wall color is blue."

I don't see blue color in Mr and Mrs Navin's portrait. If it’s a must, then it will not merge into the background wall color, right?

Please clarify.

And I’m looking for the delivery in Udupi area in Karnataka.

And we replied:

The color of the wall is blue. The decal is black, wall color is very light blue. What I am telling is that the decal will be in black color and the background will be the color of your wall.

We shall soon post the wonderful wall decals we are about to make with Kishore's family photographs.

How to get that perfect decal made for your kids' room

We get numerous inquiries for kids' decals/decor. Our experience is that this is mainly because new home owners are always interested in doing some creative decor for their kids' room and wall decals are very attractive. So, home owners see all these wonderful images of wall decals for children on the internet and drop us a line stating 'looking for wall decor for kids' room.'

Interestingly not many of these parents actually buy decor for their kids' room. We are writing this article especially to let the home owners know how you can get the perfect decal for your kids' room.

We shall be sharing 3 of our our kids' decor installations as case studies to help you make a decision about buying a kids' decal.

Please note that all the case studies mentioned in this article are wall murals and not wall decals.

Mermaid wall mural

Installed at Vile Parle, Mumbai

Mermaid wall mural

This is a Digital Print on vinyl of the design seen in picture. The size of the design is 10 feet * 12 feet. This is one of our best works. The client had engaged an interior designer who in turn had engaged a graphic artist to create this design. To be able to print such a large design, the image also has to be of printable size and resolution.

Getting a complete wall digital print has to be one of the best modes of interior decor. The expenses involved are on the higher side if to be installed on entire wall and you should also have a clear idea of what you want to get printed.

Moon wall mural

Installed at Charkop, Mumbai

Moon wall mural

This is one assignment where we interacted numerous times over phone/mail with the client. This was because the client, Ajay, was exactly sure what he wanted and it was a pleasure to be able to do it for him. Ajay had pre-thought the composition and thus, though this customization involved merging of many different images, we were able to do it. His daughter was more than happy and her room is now an attraction for all the neighboring kids.

Yes, if you buy from us, it might be a touch expensive, but we give you due time and efforts to make sure that the final result is as you wanted.

Animals wall decals

Installed at Khar Ghar, Mumbai

Animal wall murals

This is again a customized kids decor. As evident from the photograph, the client, Bhavna, wanted to have some cheerful animal decals for her child's room. We made the different animal decals and the result is for you to see.

This decal is a very simple design, yet you can see that the results are so impressive. As a home owner we often tend to over-think and over-expect, after all it is our dream home.

But after all, do not forget that it is kids' decor :)
