A week ago, we received an enquiry from a client regarding some of our wall decal designs which he found on our website. We knew exactly what he meant and what he wanted for decorating his new home. Hence you will want to ensure that you install it in a room which needs more feel and character to it. For example the bedroom which is usually dull and bland.

The white background suits the wall decal beautifully. The space required for the decal is compact and hence it is perfect for small areas like the one mentioned in the image. The black contrast of the television set and the dark toned table is the perfect setting to say the least. Not to mention, the background white curtains which again provide some drama to the room.

 The installment of the wall decal has been perfect done by placing them above the curtains in the room. The dining hall is not large or small it is medium in size, which says a lot about the lengthy wall decal. Instead of installing it on the wall, which might not have suited the room, it has been rightly place on upper part of the room.

This probably would be the best image of all. The light colored ambience with the large wall decal on the background, with the white colored background is perfect. Not to mention the single light on top, give the right amount of balance to the appearance of the room. The furniture too blends in well with the wall decal along with the lighting.

The Mermaid Tale

Ariel, daughter of King Triton is A Mermaid. This little cute & enthusiastic Mermaid lived with her royal family in kingdom 'Atlantica'. Ariel's life was perfect under the water. She never needed to go out of her kingdom. Though, the King forbid her from swimming out of her limits the explorer underneath couldn't stop herself.

One day the curious mind, Ariel decided to swim to the surface along with her friend Flounder. While travelling she finds a ship, struggling with the ups and downs of the high tides for life. Which ends up with a Prince fallen out of the ship. Innocent Ariel, enchanted by the handsome Prince Swims to save him. She sang him to wake up and returned home. When woke up, the Prince could hardly remember Ariel's face. But he was mesmerized with her voice, that he could ever forgot.

Fallen in love with the prince, Ariel was desperate to see him again. Here the villainous Ursula, half octopus half women came up with her cruel intensions. She let Ariel meet the Prince, and took her voice instead. When Prince met human turned Ariel, he was delighted with her silent beauty. Before they fall in love and give a magical kiss of true love, Ursula disguised herself to the beautiful Vanessa. She cast a spell on the Prince and made him marry her. Poor Ariel, couldn't help herself and broken into tears.

Flounder the fish, Scuttle the Seagull and Sebastian the crab, friends of Ariel helped her in crashing the wedding and also get her voice back. Oh! but now Ariel was late. the sun was set.  As the deal was made Ariel became Mermaid again, Ursula's slave. To save his daughter and people of Atlantica, the king gave his powers to Ursula. As she grew bigger, the king became weaker. On the other side realizing that Ariel is the one he truly love, the Prince Sails the old ship to save her. Prince defeated Ursula, saved Ariel, King Triton and The Atlantica. King Triton, understanding his daughters love for the prince lets her live on the surface. and They Lived Happily Together Forever.

Ravi, a head of a MNC in Bangalore, has been working with us for 3-4 months now for the different compositions he has in his mind for his home in Bangalore. We will describe the astounding Panchamahabhoota composition which he conceptualised, in another article.

This article is about the Mysore palace procession which he was looking to place over the curtain and the vacant space at the entrance of the home. Ravi wanted a wall decal depicting a Mysore palace procession and with his firm commitment to what he wanted and our creative abilities, we created a tailor-made decal exactly as he wanted.

This was the space above the curtain where Ravi wanted to place a Mysore palace wall decal:

Brief: “This is for another decal. Really liked this. I wanted a Mysore procession similar to this... will share the pictures now from my older furniture to give context”.

Ravi showed us below pictures from his old furniture to give us an idea of the style he was looking for.

Brief: “So this palace silhouette would be in the center at a bigger size and then there would be a procession on the left and a procession on the right being mirror images of each other. The total length would be 8ft with proportional height but not more than 1ft”

We started making the design as per Ravi’s requirements, some more of his instructions followed and we customized the designs accordingly.

- Would need the palace to be a little wider but could be a little less details also in case it is too fine.

- Need height of the elephant to be slightly higher (as high as camel).

-Is this already in scale for 9ft. Otherwise, there is one horse chariot which is a characteristic one of the Mysore procession. That would be good.

- If you can add a little bit of space between the palace and the camels, then it will standout better

- Will send a couple of pictures of the royal emblem of the Mysore Kings. On the camel, elephant and Horse where you have the flower design, that will look better and also make it uniquely tied to the royal family.

All these discussions happened on watsapp as this was convenient for Ravi as well as our creative team so that both could work at each other’s convenience.

Client: You are all super responsive on whatsapp. That makes a lot of difference for me. Ok...and you r all innovative and creative.

Finally, we and Ravi finalised this Mysore palace procession design for the area above the curtain. These were the final 2 options of the design, Ravi chose the second one.

Wall Mural installation: Making a Dream Nursery Come to Life with Adorable Wall Decal Design

Home coming of a new born is a celebration! Every parent enthusiastically looks forward to welcome their new member home. For that they do not mind going out of their way to dress up the little one’s room with something appropriate. Cribs and baby beds, matching wall paper, hanging rattles are some of the most common way to deck up a nursery but aren’t you missing something here? Yes, there is an excellent option to get a customized décor for your kid’s room using wall decals.

Nisha, a resident of Malabar Hill, Mumbai who was expecting her baby soon, thought of this alternative because she wanted to do something different for her baby’s room. She had already ordered for a baby crib and had chalked out where to place it in the room. Her thoughts were well oriented and she knew exactly how she wanted the nursery to appear.  She came up with the exact design she had in mind after a little research on the internet and was now looking for a company that would cater to her individual décor requirement. The design that she selected was a tree in full bloom with pink and white flowers and black branches. A few butterflies and birds were added here and there. Cute pandas and owls made the backdrop simply adorable.

Next task was to search for someone who could create something closest to what she visualized. While hunting for wall decal manufacturers in India she found the contact details of KC Wall Decal. This is a story how Nisha in coordination with the team of KC Wall Decal turned her dream nursery into reality!

It was a chain of e-mails that Nisha exchanged with Rakesh, one of the coordinators for KC Wall Decal. Nisha sent across photographs of the design she had in mind and photographs of the room, stating where she wished to place the baby’s crib. But that was not sufficient to understand her requirements fully, as dimensions were missing. On the following e-mails that were exchanged Nisha and Rakesh swapped information about the dimensions of the wall, height of the crib and how she wanted her wall mural to look. Once things were clearer, the KC Wall Decal designers got down to work.

They produced two plans according to Nisha’s requirements and she made alterations, finally there was a design which exactly matched Nisha’s thoughts.  The tree with spread out branches and abundance of flowers made a great impression!

  

Now was the time to give the design its final touch. Nisha wanted the tree to give an illusion of coming out from behind the crib with low branches covering the wall, touching the crib. She wanted flowers mainly over the crib and not to spread out the other side of the door. Nisha also had specifications about the flowers she wanted; without a hollow center and fuller in look, to give a feeling of abundance. All heeded, designers of KC Wall Decal produced something which perfectly coincided with their customer’s thoughts and she gave them a green signal to go ahead with the production. Money matters and budget was discussed separately and charges were not bank breaking!

 The branches, flowers, birds, butterflies, pandas and owls; everything came in separate pieces giving plenty of option to put them up as Nisha wanted. The final installation was a cake walk with the company’s help and the end result….you got to judge for yourself!!
